Conducting the Research

Intense Industry Research: At our foundation we start with the identification of a master list of national best practices.  We then find a “hospital sponsor” to research each best practice.  Intense research is performed on each sponsor through interviewing, audits and quantitative analysis to determine the impact of each practice on income statement, balance sheet, and patient satisfaction.

Zimmerman’s research of these strategies is focused on both proven and future forward practices.

Proven Best Practices: Zimmerman devotes most of its research work to identifying and analyzing best practices used by providers across the nation.  By adopting best practices proven by their peers, healthcare organizations can make substantial improvements throughout the revenue cycle.

Future Forward Practices: The remaining portion of Zimmerman’s research work is dedicated to the discovery of new or emerging revenue cycle practices in and out of industry.  Studying these practices provides insights into strategies that could provide innovation and breakthrough performance.
